Any Scottish Owners ?

Postby Warwick Samuel » Sun Jun 30, 2024 2:04 pm

Newbie from Nairn …

Hi to all the CC19 owners and enthusiasts out there. As a family we’re looking to move from
Open dinghy day sailing to more of a shallow draft / beachable cruising / weekender boat for which it seems the Cutter is an ideal contender. I’ve very recently joined the association to learn more of the boat and assess the options but as yet have never seen an actual boat “in the flesh”. There are several for sale currently but they all seem to be in Ireland of the south of England …. Whilst I’m in the far north of Scotland which makes a casual inspection a major undertaking before I’m more ready to commit ..

As well as any general comments you may have about the suitability of these boats for my intended sailing I’d be very pleased to find an owner with a boat in the north (ideally not too far from Inverness or Aberdeen who’d be willing to let me have a brief look at their boat (it doesn’t need to be for sale).

Hi Warwick,
there are indeed several boats in Scotland including one I know who may not be too far from you, I have alerted him to this post in case he can be of assistance.
Cheers,
Alistair
