Hello Charles,
I was about to suggest we attend The Golfe du Semaine event which is a traditional boat festival held every two years in Brittany during Ascension week. This year it happened to coincide with our Spring Bank Holiday week. However, I was unaware that a Rally was being organised for the East Coast.

Therefore, I wil now probably be attending your Rally for the week and certainly from Tuesday onwards. As I’m based close to the area, if you need any help with arrangements, let me know.

Brilliant, I hope you can join us. It’ll be worth the miles!

Having missed the Largs trip last year by a week (due to my sons exams) count me in!

We had a good following week this year getting down to Campbeltown on the Mull of Kintyre, following the route the Association took around the Kyles of Bute. We circumnavigated Arran.

Ill be sailing with Cathy.

ps I will bring a spare engine if anyone has any problems, assuming I do not need it! Hopefully I have sorted out the ancient Mariner now.

Hi Tony, can’t promise the weather will be as good as the stuff Gary and Malcolm delivered, though I have put an order in...

You mean the F7 on the first day from Largs to Kip?? Can do without that, but please do your best for the sunshine.

That was character-building! We left no boat behind, even in those conditions; there were occasions when it was just as windy later on and we took that in our stride (remember our run down to the anchorage at the Kames Hotel?). Heres to fair tides and the favourable winds!
