Sprayhood Colour Combo?

Postby Pugwash » Wed Mar 02, 2011 6:22 am

Dear All

like to think i have reasonable eye for technical stuff, when it comes to colour i need counselling.

I know I like blue hull / red sail combo thats one reason "Robyn" chose me.

So what colour hood? The blue of the hull looks very slightly purple and difficult to replicate. The deck is Ivory not white / cream.

:(Sorry message brief, typing LHD, one hand. 1st major ski tumble in 40yrs, plates, bolts, screws, pain, no sleep and therefore as you will find much time for asking dumb questions. Sadly repair 3 month job in variety of restrictive contraptions so boat prep delayed.

Still :), ferry, Lac Annecy B&B and marina berth Port Argeles all booked for July/Aug so that to look forward to.

If you are intending to spend a lot of time in Roussilon during the summer I suggest a white sprayhood plus a bimini might be the coolest option.I don't know whether there would be sufficient clearance for a bimini but if not a broad brimmed sun hat should suffice. Otherwise a blue one for your trip on Lake Annecy or for Robyn's return to Rutland. I hope the arm gets better in time...it's a long way to drive even in good health.Suggest a flight to Perpignan and a local charter might be a good fallback plan this year.
