Sounds like a question for Bob at HM.

It may be that when they cut the slot in the hull for the keel that they may made it a bit wider than usual.

Just a guess!

I am off to Kielder today and will be sleeping on board tonight, probably on a swinging mooring. I do not expect to get much "clonking" though. The only time I notice any, is when the boat rolls when running downwind. But it is fairly quiet and not annoying.

I have however experienced severe "clonking" in a Drascombe Coaster, but I think they all do that.
