I'll ask Lymington Harbour if they can do it all automatically. If they can't I'll get back to you.

I half expected this. Plus now cannot get to the boat (is kept overwinter 20 mins away) to attack my list of jobs to prepare for the coming season...

Put me down for the postponed rally. Thanks, Paul, for all the extra organising

Hi friends,
I think it is the right decision to cancel the rally or delay it.
Thanks to Paul for the organization. I will not be able to be there in august. I hope to be there next year.
Stay healthy!
Best regards
Nico

So sorry we’ll not meet you, Nico. I suppose we need to make the best of 2020 and make big plans for 2021.

I’d like to join Nico and others in thanking Paul for the time and effort putting the rally together; I hope most of the plans can be recycled into another event.

Just a thought. If anyone has some sailing plans (once lockdown is over), they might want to share them and perhaps another might be around to meet up/join in. For example, there are several of us who sail in the Solent area, so perhaps there’s still a chance for sailing in company. If I plan a trip to my boat, perhaps a post a week/few days in advance might provide a chance to link up with someone else local.

Thoughts?

Hi All

Lymington Harbour have cancelled all the bookings so you don't have to do anything unless you've already paid. They believe that 2 people have paid: Malcolm and Julian Porter. Can these 2 email frances.moores@lymingtonharbour.co.uk with the card or bank details so that they can refund you. Frances is their treasurer.

Hopefully we will be rebooking before too long. I've not given up on 2020 yet.

There is still a chance. I have a pal living in Poole. His club has just opened up for trailer sailing only, though with a maximum of 10 pre-booked families per day. It's a start.

Good luck and I hope it works out. Steve

My club in Gosport has also opened, as I understand it only local journeys are legal and overnight stays other than at home are not permitted. Thus it’s the travel not the sailing which is the limiting factor. Hopefully travel/stay restrictions will be eased some time soon...
