What paint do people use on the white section at the top of the mast?

Hello Simon

I use whatever brilliant white gloss I have lying around.
Last year it was Crown.
I find that a light rub down and a new coat every 2-3 years is sufficient.

The TLC season is starting for me as well, I expect to be hauling the boat out of Kielder Water tomorrow. All the spars including the mast will be going into my garage and the boat will be emptied and then put in storage in a barn. I will let everything dry out thoroughly before I do any work, usually in Jan/Feb.
Cheers

Dennis

You are so well organized Dennis, very envious
To avoid drawing attention my boat in the cut I am going to paint the top of the mast either green or brown to merge in with the trees in the background so that hopefully thieves will not spot the boat.
I bought one of the 12 volt weed cutters in case anyone would like an opinion
