For weeks I've been dreaming and planning a full week of sailing in the Bristol Channel; from South Wales, to Lundy, to Padstow, and back. The current forecast is ****e to say the least, so I've been looking at going back to the Solent again for the fourth time this year. But then, since I'm trailer sailing, I could go elsewhere, and it does seem that I could possibly spend a week in the Firth of Clyde in somewhat drier F2/3/4's than get rain lashed down south in F4/5/6's.
If you were in Brum what would you do? 300 miles north for the Firth of Clyde or 140 miles to The Solent? My pass out from SWMBO runs from midnight this Friday to 7pm on 9th June.
