CC19 For Sale - Stardust (Sail: 114, Year 2013, Blue/Cream)

Postby Tim Ellert » Fri Mar 19, 2021 1:25 pm

Very sadly i am putting my beloved "Stardust" up for sale due to a change in circumstances

She is 7 years old (2013), oxford blue hull with cream sails.

A modern full specification CC19 with pretty much all optional extras including:

Anti fouling / copper coat
Trailer inc spare wheel, straps, lightboard etc
Full electrics inc cabin lighting, plotter, navigation lights, AGM battery, fuse panel etc
All sails (Yankee and brand new storm jib, genoa, main sail)
6HP Saildrive outboard + charging
Ancor (brand new)
Spinlock cleats
Boom sun cover
Boat storage cover
Spray hood
Swim ladder
Furling sails (a fantastic modification over base spec)

Initial purchase price was upwards of £35k fully specced - i am open to offers..

If interested please message me and i would be happy to share more details / photos / videos etc - she is a FANTASTIC boat!

She is currently sitting on her trailer in west sussex in my back garden in preparation for another season in Chichester Harbour where she has spent most of her life

Hello Tim. I am new to the forum, just joined this week, and looking for my first boat. I could potentially be interested. To be honest I have only just switched to looking at Cape Cutters from Shrimpers and am still getting to know the prices. What kind of figure would you be looking for?
I am not a million miles away in Winchester, so the location of Stardust is certainly attractive. Any additional photos you have would be appreciated.

Hello Tim

I have just joined the association as a full member. I am looking for a Cape Cutter 19, I first came across them when I heard Mike Brooks talking at Bosham Sailing Club about his sail round Britain fundraising for Theo’s sight. I was very impressed both by the talk Mike gave and this seaworthy intrepid little boat!

I am about to start the process of selling a 28 foot wooden classic, much loved and sails so well, but the maintenance is becoming too much for me, so I have decided, for the first time, to consider a boat built from something other than wood .. I am sure your beautiful boat will have sold before I am ready to buy - but if she is still with you, I was wondering if it would be possible to have a look at her, just to see how you have set her up, and also to hear any and everything you have to say on the subject of Cape Cutters! I live near Chichester.

Best wishes

Louise

Hi Tim

I've just started my hunt for a CC19 too. Is she still for sale? Could you send me any additional photos - information?

Regards

Hi Louise and hi Paul!

She is still for sale and i will post some more photos this weekend (internal / external etc)

I do have someone coming to view her on Sunday however am not holding my breath as their budget is considerably lower than the asking price, so will see how that goes and keep you posted!

Louise - you are very welcome to come and have a chat / look around the boat at some point and we are based just outside of Midhurst - ping me a direct messages with a weekend that would work best and can make a plan :)

Thank you both for the interest

all the best,

Tim

Louise and Paul,

You would be very welcome to visit us during our rally on the week of 29th May to June 5th, which this year is in the Solent area. Many current owners attended a rally as a prospective buyer. PM if you’d like more info.
