Farewell to Ladybird

Postby Toby » Sun Jul 08, 2012 2:29 pm

Good day everyone

I grieves me to announce it, but I am parting with Ladybird. She is with Honnor Marine in Rochdale looking for a buyer who, I hope, will enjoy her as much as I and my family did. With any luck, the new owners will become members of this association - I shall certainly recommend them to do that - and I will be able to track Ladybird's future doings on this forum (or whatever forum replaces it).

It will not be easy to recreate the experience of sailing a Cape Cutter, but I think I've got as close to it as I can by moving up to a Yarmouth Fisher 23. She's like Ladybird's big sister.

My chief regret is not making more of an effort to rally with other owners but I will keep a keen eye out for you all when next on the briny and hope to run into you at the Honnor Marine stand at various boatshows.

So it's farewell to Ladybird but not, I trust, to the Cape Cutter 19 Association. I've not been a great poster on these boards, but I'm still a member so it's not, I hope, farewell to any of you.

Best wishes to all
