Thank you Dennis for your welcome. Apologies for not posting earlier but we have been busy sorting Thumble out! We are based on the River Deben with a mooring at Woodbridge and looking forward to following in Maurice Griffiths wake and exploring again the swatchways and creeks of the East Coast, having been away from the water for the last few years. Having read the various CC19 logs we are also planning to travel further afield. However we've got to get a suitable towcar first! Thumble is in a need of some TLC and we have a number of questions which I are hoping you will be able to help us with. The list seems to get longer every day! I feel a number of posts developing!
The rally sound fun but probably not for us this season ( tow car) however next season we should be sorted and will look forward to joining you.
Hello and welcome to the fold. I live near Bury St. Edmunds and keep my CC19 (number 108) on the River Alde at Slaughden Quay. I would be happy to help you get sorted and if you have any queries on what you think you might need or tips on rigging, mast raising etc.
I launched Vedette on the 16th April so if you feel like a sail that too is an option.
The exciting news is that I have now managed to purchase a second hand Cape Cutter (no. 114 / Stardust)
She will be kept ashore for the next month or so while i do some work on her and source some updated parts (Bob at Honnor Marine has already been very helpful!)
Can't wait to get on the water with her in August!
Adam Bridger has purchased Meisje from Roger and Adrian Langford. He intends to keep it based at Kielder this year. I look forward to seeing it and Adam on the water. There are still four CC19s based at Kielder.
Mark Collier has bought Drift from Simon White. He is to be based on the Fal estuary, I expect he will be meeting up with Richard Rickard to discuss Capecuttering.
