Meeting CC19 owners in the upcoming ‘Semaine du Golfe’

Postby François » Thu May 15, 2025 2:35 pm

Hello,

I am seriously considering buying a CC19 : having learnt to sail in the 70s and 80’ in the ‘Golfe du Morbihan’ in Brittany (on a ‘Muscadet’ cruiser) and later been a skipper for further sailing navigations, I was looking for a small cruiser and… this beautiful CC19 seems to meet all my requirements and wishes !
I will be in the ‘Golfe du Morbihan’ for several days during the upcoming ‘2025 Semaine du Golfe’ rally where I understand that several CC19 will be present.
I would be very interested in discovering the boat ‘for real’, discussing with you owners and navigators.
I also have in mind several adaptations/modifications that I would be very happy to discuss as well.
And of course, if possible, I would be delighted to embark for real life navigation after all this time I have been navigating… the Internet on this topic !
Having sailed so many times the waters of Golfe du Morbihan, this would be for me an ideal location to get an idea of the boat and how she behaves in an environment I know quite well.

--> Would there be any CC19 owners/navigators available for such exchanges in situ very soon ? (I will be around from Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th)

(maybe replies should be sent by private messages ?)

Sailing regards

Hi François - it's a great idea to come and look at the Cape Cutter fleet at the Semaine du Golfe. I believe there will be 11 Cape Cutters in Flotilla H gathering at Arradon next week end. I am not sure what the mooring arrangements will be, but I look forward to welcoming you on board Peggy at some point in the week. On Tuesday we are back at Arradon in the evening and on Wednesday we are at St Goustan. I will send a PM with my mobile.

Thanks Justin for your answer. With 11 units, that's quite a fleet for the CC19 !
I will be around Larmor Baden (on foot, no boat) where flotilla H spends the night on the Wednesday. For a start, I plan to come to l'île d'Arz (around noon) on Tuesday 27th where there is the picnic for all and I am looking forward to meeting you and others.
I send you my mobile number as well by PM

sorry François - the Cape Cutters are in Flotilla I
I'm not sure whether we are following the same route as the boats in H, but we will be in Ile d'Arz on the 27th for the lunch-time picnic
If you'd like to sail back to Arradon with me that afternoon, you would be very welcome.
regards, Justin

Salut François,

I hope you enjoy meeting the Cape Cutters this week!

I have a Cape Cutter 19 for sale: I've had it for 15 years, but it's time to sell it.

She's a really good boat and is currently available to trial in Torquay, Devon, UK.

Road trailer included - not too far from Brittany Ferries in Plymouth!

Best wishes

Johanna Sidey.
