For those of us who wish to be a little bit more competitive with our boats.......

Saw the video already; that encouraged me to consider the idea.
It's 50 miles - much further than I've ever sailed in a day (on a cape cutter)

Charles

You need to allow 12 ish hours on a cc19 or Shrimper. There are lots of tips available and I am happy to chat you through the course. I have done it many many times but not on a CC19 .....yet.

It is a great event and you can just go for an accompanied cruise around the island, but most people cant help being competitive. The sight of 1500 spinnakers behind you on the way to st Cats is one of the great sights of sailing.

It needs a bit of preparation, it is a long long day, but you won't regret it. I certainly intend to do it, but need to get Drift going and then try and pursuade one or two others to come along!
