How to rig for towing - the mast

About the important piece of kit under your Cape Cutter 19 when on the road.....

Thanks for posting that.
The roller trick looks a good one.
I prefer the way you attach the ratchet straps to the mid ships cleats, rather than over the boat, as Bob showed me. I can never quite reach to connect the strap.

Brilliant video and very helpful. I've built a cradle for mine, its a bit rough and ready but seems to work. Hadn't realise I could leave the bowsprit rigged and lashed up like that. At the moment I have the spars stashed in the cabin but having seen how its done I will get sail cover and then I can lash to spars to mast. I'll take some pictures of and once I figure out how to upload them I'll post them on this thread.
Thanks

Here are the pictures I took of my set up. Let me know if these should be in an album.

As you can see there is no original thought in the way I've done this so thank you all again for the help.

Not bad at all. ;)

It would be a huge shame to have done all that work and not actually tow her anywhere. I hope we'll see you out and about for a meet up with us later this year.
