Padstow here I come (hopefully)

Postby Ru88ell » Sat May 26, 2012 11:20 am

I feel like I've done the Solent enough this year already, so in true trailer sailer style I'm going somewhere else for Whit week.

If the weather stays on track as per http://www.weatherweb.net I plan to launch at Burry Port near Llanelli on Sat 2nd June, with a view to getting to Padstow and back by the following weekend, taking in Ilfracombe, Lundy, Clovelly and maybe even Tenby.

I've set myself up on mAIS on the iPhone, so you could track me via http://www.marinetraffic.com if you like. Search Zephyr, MMSI 235068824. Just put the 235068824 into 'Search' on the toolbar.

And, I've also set up a Facebook Page for the Cape Cutter 19. Anyone can view, so might be worth finding that too, click 'Like' and then you can add your stories and pictures of your own boats.

I'm not going to Padstow after all. I'm going to the Firth of Clyde. Use the tracker and the blog to see where we get to over the next week.

Works fine that mAIS app, easy to see Zephyr sailing around.
Speed >5 knts, wind about 6 knts = not bad, main+staysail+genoa?
Looks like nice sailing day
