Anyone fancy a meet at Rutland next weekend? I'm taking Zephyr over to sail one day with my father and the other with a friend.

Acording to Graham, the water is very low at Rutland and launching might be an issue. I'm keen to maximise the promised heat wave though, so might go to the Solent instead.

I'm off to the Solent in the morning. Yarmouth overnight, and round the outside of the IOW to Gosport on Saturday to meet up with 11 Shrimpers. Pottering back to Buckler's Hard on Sunday with the flood.

I didn't bother with round the IOW but had a fabulous sail to Gosport. Now in Haslar Marina surrounded by Shrimpers and Shrimper owner's wondering why.

What a fantastic four days on The Solent. Brilliant weather, and great to meet up with the Solent Shrimperers. They were very welcoming and very interested in Zephyr - although they did all try to get me to convert.

I saw two CC19's in Lymington, and another one ACTUALLY sailing out of Cowes on Sunday.

Glad you got back okay Russell. I passed another CC at anchor in the river on the way back to Buckler's Hard. Bit like buses, you don't see one for ages and then.....

If you promise not to call me a "Shrimperer" I'll not call you a "Cutterer" LOL !:D
