Hi,

What make and model "Porta Potti" does the forum find best for CC19?

I assume it would 'sit':p in the locker, just beyond the mast support?

Hello Michiel

A Thetford Porta Potti 335 fits nicely.

Do an on-line search, you can save a lot of money. Mine cost £64 from UK Sports and Fitness (Jan 2009).

Cheers

Hi Dennis,

Thanks,

Have ordered the 335.
Cheapest is now just over £80.00, but we are 2 years and a VAT increase down the line.
So, suppose, can't complain too much.

Hello Michiel

My hand held is a "Garmin etrex Legend Hcx".

It certainly does the job for me. Being so small I also use it for walking. It is the second one I have had. The first one I stood on when leaping around the boat (previous boat Winkle Brig) and it broke the screen:o.

When I came to replace it, I had a good look at the alternatives, but came to the conclusion that I had made the right decision the first time. So I bought the same.

Being a Garmin, there are lots of (Free) maps available for land use. I use OpenStreetMap maps which are updated weekly and free to download and use.

I have attached a file generated using the Garmin MapSource software (which is included with the eTrex) with an OpenStreetMap showing the track of my sailing (today), as an example.

Cheers

Dennis
