Spinlock uses

Postby SimonW » Thu Oct 31, 2013 10:54 pm

I am having a little bit of a memory issue on recalling what all the spin locks are used for and I am trying to work out the best layout for the furler lines. The headsail sheets take the two big ones on either side, but the two smaller ones seem to have different uses. I think the standard boat uses the port side one for the staysail curler, so what is the one on the starboard side used for?

I am thinking about laying out the twin furler lines as shown here http://yachtdrift.wordpress.com, but anyone have better ideas?

Port one is for genoa furler, starboard one for staysail downhaul. That's the config sent from Honnor Marine. If in doubt speak to Bob there who is always very helpful.

Donald, thanks. I have continuous lines so too much for the small spin locks I am afraid. I will re use them as pole downhauls though!
