Gap between keels and hull

Postby zimp » Sun Oct 24, 2010 5:24 pm

Yesterday my CC19 was lifted out of the water after my first season sailing a CC19.
There was a gap between the hull and the bilge keels at both sides. There were remains of some kind of sealing but I could remove that very easily by pulling it away.
I think I have to repair this before next season.
Does anybody have some tips? Will it enough to fill the gaps with some appropriate sealing material like Sikaflex or so?

Hello Bert

I would suggest you talk to Bob at Honnor Marine. He may have seen this problem on one of the boats he has had for refurbishment.

Cheers
